About the Role:

We’re Looking For:

• A trade qualification in Automotive Mechanics (Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle, Light Vehicle, Plant Mechanics, or a similar accredited qualification).
• At least four years of practical experience in workshop operations, including your apprenticeship.
• A current Medium Rigid Vehicle Licence to operate various equipment.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills to interpret job instructions, maintenance manuals, and complete reports.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with supervisors, apprentices, and plant operators.
• A solid understanding of safe work practices and procedures.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit, client-focused team.
• Basic familiarity with Fleet Management Software, CPU, and EMS systems.

This role is based in Murwillumbah, with the possibility of being directed to work from any Council work site.

Desirable Qualifications:

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Council Licence (MVRIC).
• RMS restricted authorised examiner.
• RMS HVAIS authorised examiner.
• Forklift driver’s licence.
• Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination Truck Licence.
